What's Going On?

As you may or may not have heard already, the world lost a real superstar this week.  David Thomas, frontman for the 80's cover band "Discount Superstar", traveled on.  I keep thinking back to all the times we spent together through the years and all the times he made not only me, but everyone around him smile.   I can't help but wonder how the future will look without him around.  I'm sure it will be a whole lot greyer, and a little less funny.  When he was in front of the crowd singing and making everyone smile, it just seemed like time stood still.  He had a knack for making people laugh and enjoy being around him.  Dave had this electric personallity that would light up a room.  I remember listening to him ramble on aimlessly about whatever situation was on his mind at the time and have everyone around him rolling with laughter.  Of course this would always happen at 4am outside of some bar when all I wanted to do was go home and sleep.

As you know, or at least should know, I am always looking for new places to spread my music.  If anyone knows of a venue that would be a good fit for me and my type of music, please contact me and let me know.  I will contact the venue owners and take the music to your town.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.  Take care and I hope to see you all out on the road soon.

I have been working on several new songs lately and this idea came to me.  I haven't finished the song yet, but I already knew that I could not pull it off the way that I intend for it to sound.  So...  Lucky for me, I have a friend (and cousin) in the Metal Music scene that would fit this new songs vocals perfectly. 

Oddly enough this same person contacted me about working on an acoustic project with him.  It's funny how everything just lines up sometimes.  So, to make a long story short, we have some new stuff in the works so stay tuned and listen out for some Country Metal, and some Metal Acoustic.  It should be very interesting.
