Superstar!
by DPM on 01/27/12As you may or may not have heard already, the world lost a real superstar this week. David Thomas, frontman for the 80's cover band "Discount Superstar", traveled on. I keep thinking back to all the times we spent together through the years and all the times he made not only me, but everyone around him smile. I can't help but wonder how the future will look without him around. I'm sure it will be a whole lot greyer, and a little less funny. When he was in front of the crowd singing and making everyone smile, it just seemed like time stood still. He had a knack for making people laugh and enjoy being around him. Dave had this electric personallity that would light up a room. I remember listening to him ramble on aimlessly about whatever situation was on his mind at the time and have everyone around him rolling with laughter. Of course this would always happen at 4am outside of some bar when all I wanted to do was go home and sleep.
